Mike has 28 years of magazine publishing experience, with a career spanning advertising sales, circulation marketing, direct marketing and media research. After his start in publishing at Family Media in the Media Planning and Research department, Mike held posts in the advertising division of Hearst Business Media and the circulation team at Cowles Magazine, then served as Publisher Relations Director for Publishers Clearing House. Most recently, Mike managed the Publisher Relations team at Waiting Room Subscription Service (WRSS), where he worked with a wide variety of publishers to develop customized public place marketing solutions, improving overall readership audiences through media research. When Subdirect acquired WRSS in February 2018, Mike joined the Subdirect team.

Harold Buckley

Harold has over 30 years in the publishing business. He has consulted or been in a senior magazine marketing position with some of the largest publishing companies in the industry including Newsweek, Condé Nast, American Media, ABC Publishing, CMP Media just to name a few. In 2003 he co-founded Consumer Marketing Solutions a leading provider of Verified Circulation to the magazine industry. Harold attended St. John’s University.

Josh brings over five years’ experience in fulfillment and process management. He was the Subdirect Fulfillment Manager for three years and most recently served in a business analyst role assisting in the development and structure of our continuous improvement initiatives. His background in business gives him an overall understanding of how to improve operations and his ability to motivate his team has been crucial in the continued growth of Subdirect. Josh has a BA in History from California State University, Fresno.

Zak comes to Subdirect with a background in academic research where during college he used different statistical methods to study current events. After graduation he began taking courses in Computer Science in order to develop a better understanding of programming. This motivated him to pursue an analytical role where he could utilize his problem-solving skills and integrate different technologies into his workflow. Zak has a BA in Political Science from Monmouth University.

Alex joined the Subdirect team in October 2018 to help streamline cover wrap promotions for the WRSS business unit. He has held similar operations database positions at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, NYC Department of Information & Telecommunications, as well as the Federal Reserve Bank Information Technology - EROC. Alex holds a Masters in Electrochemical Engineering and Mathematics form Polytechnic University , Minsk, Belarus.

Before joining the team, Tim became a CPA at Baker, Peterson & Franklin while gaining experience in financial reporting, internal controls, tax law and all things accounting. After 8 years in public accounting he moved on to the private sector and directed the accounting departments for an Agriculture packaging supplier and a vertically integrated almond farmer/processor/marketer. He has served on committees for CalCPA and Community Food Bank. Tim graduated from Fresno State.

Karim has worked in the software testing industry for 6 years, and is experienced in manual as well as automation testing of web and client/server environments. He has worked for large institutions such as Citibank as a software test engineer. He also was involved in all stages of the software development life cycle for multiple projects/companies. He has a deep understanding of multiple development processes such as waterfall, iterative, and agile methodology.

Chris started his career in publishing with Time Warner as Manager of Fulfillment and Warehousing for their book division for 4 years. Next, he joined Applied Interactive Media (AIM), as Director of Fulfillment Operations. Three years later he joined enews.com, the largest online marketer of magazines, as Senior Director of Fulfillment Operations. After 3 years working in the height of the .com boom, Chris co-founded Consumer Marketing Solutions (CMS) in 2003 which was acquired by Subdirect in 2015. Chris has a BA in Public Policy from the University of Buffalo.

Brian brings extensive magazine industry marketing and circulation experience to Subdirect. His career includes positions at the Synapse Group (a Time Inc.-owned marketing firm), Time4Media, Meredith and Mansueto Ventures. Brian currently oversees marketing and publisher relations for Subdirect, and plays an important role in overall business ventures. He has also served as President of The Fulfillment Management Association.

Her background in Operations provided her the skills necessary to analyze data, make business decisions and implement new policies and procedures. As a Project Manager she brings her creativity, virtues and passion for excellence to her clients.

He has achieved consistency in both strong and weak business cycles, and is known for building enduring partnerships with a broad spectrum of business industry stakeholders. He has been named BMI’s Marketing Executive of the Year three times, and has serves on the Advisory Board for Think Big Partners.

Michael’s career includes significant publisher and agency-side experience. An early innovator in the fields of partnership and credit card continuous service, he created programs that have produced millions of subscriptions. Prior to joining Subdirect, Michael served as Circulation Director for Rolling Stone, Us Weekly and Men's Journal. He has been a member of ABC’s Magazine Director’s Advisory Committee, CDS’s Client Advisory Board and PCD’s Client Advisory Board.

Megs works with Subdirect publishing clients to develop new sources of business and readership. Over the past couple years, she has added new business development responsibilities to her plate, and launched marketing promotions with several key partners. She has grown revenue for both Subdirect and her clients, through successful strategy and execution of partnership offers and testing programs. Megs currently serves on the Board of Directors for the XYZ Club, a networking organization in the magazine publishing industry. Previously, she held positions at Synapse Group and their parent company, Time Inc.

Gerald has been in advertising for twenty years. He ran agencies as well as traditional media. He was an Ad Director for the Philadelphia Metro and moved into online newspapers as they grew from infancy. For more than a decade he was with Calkins Media as Online Business Development Manager for the three largest Philadelphia suburban newspapers as well as Vendor Relations Manager for online projects across the Calkin’s TV and radio stations. His love is business development, but his expertise also extends to SEO and creating strong vertical revenue platforms. He has worked for Groupon and with the Yahoo Newspaper Consortium.

In her past roles, Susan’s leadership has driven subscription growth, increased profitability and developed overall process improvements across multiple sources of business.

She led consumer marketing efforts and played a major role in identifying and implementing strategic partnerships to establish new sources of revenue. Under Shirley’s leadership, companies have achieved increased profitability and subscriptions, along with expanded market share.

Natalie has a demonstrated history of over 20 years in Partnerships and Direct Marketing. She got her start in business development at a lobbying firm, weathered the dot-com boom (and bust), and spent the majority of her career at Time Inc., where she worked with all of the publisher's brands as part of various multi-title departments. During her tenure at Time Inc., Natalie managed public place direct mail and renewals programs, school fundraising partnerships, email, agency marketing, and launched multiple affiliate marketing programs. Building great relationships is her favorite part of her job.

In addition to her role at Subdirect, Kelly serves on the Board of the Craig School of Business at California State University, Fresno.

Kellie Watt

After starting out in media planning and research at Ogilvy & Mather, Kellie jumped to the magazine publisher side, in a marketing services role, at The New Yorker, Elle and Vogue. In 2004, Kellie joined the marketing services team at DJG Marketing and eventually moved over to WRSS, where she developed distribution plans and provided in-depth analyses for clients (based on syndicated research and circulation data, etc.). After Subdirect acquired WRSS in February 2018, Kellie joined the team as a consultant, until June, when she was hired full time.
