Nina brings expertise in all things online marketing to Subdirect. Her focus is on SEO, pay-per-click, email marketing and social media campaigns. Nina’s insight and analysis of Subdirect’s online marketing efforts helps ensure decision-making is data driven. She strongly believes in optimizing the customer experience to acquire new business and ultimately build a successful brand.
Harold has over 30 years in the publishing business. He has consulted or been in a senior magazine marketing position with some of the largest publishing companies in the industry including Newsweek, Condé Nast, American Media, ABC Publishing, CMP Media just to name a few. In 2003 he co-founded Consumer Marketing Solutions a leading provider of Verified Circulation to the magazine industry. Harold attended St. John’s University.
Lars comes to Subdirect with a background in commercial real estate where he researched various property types throughout the United States. In this role he integrated multiple databases, analyzed various trends, acted as quality control for accurate data flow, and managed reports. Lars has both client management and sales experience, along with strong analytical and communication skills. Those skills as well as his experience with reducing workflow and increasing productivity are a value-add for Subdirect.
Tracy comes to Subdirect with a background in healthcare, fundraising and higher education. She has helped launch new ecommerce websites for Subdirect, covering marketing, social media and SEO. She also leads Subdirect’s loyalty partnerships. Prior to Subdirect, Tracy served as a faculty member at California State University, Fresno where she taught in the Department of Finance and Business Law, and helped launch the EMBA in Agriculture master’s program. Tracy has been named to the “40under40” list by Business Street Magazine, and has served on the Board of Directors for the Susan G. Komen Central Valley Affiliate.
Jonathan brings more than 15 years of experience in information technology and computer systems to Subdirect. Jonathan’s extensive background in software development, database design and administration is key to the management of our CircLink, ReadSave and Subdirect brands. His approach to technology has always been from a practical point of view: to comfortably use technology in everyday tasks without being governed or constrained by it.
Kristina Gomez came on board in 2010 with a passion for team building, streamlining operations and enhancing performance initiatives across the company’s diverse business units. She is a hands-on manager who strives to set an example to those around her through effective communication and an open door policy. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from California State University, Fresno and has been instrumental in creating a one-of-a kind culture with values and benefits that make Subdirect a great place to work.
Chris started his career in publishing with Time Warner as Manager of Fulfillment and Warehousing for their book division for 4 years. Next he joined Applied Interactive Media (AIM), as Director of Fulfillment Operations. Three years later he joined enews.com, the largest online marketer of magazines, as Senior Director of Fulfillment Operations. After 3 years working in the height of the .com boom, Chris co-founded Consumer Marketing Solutions (CMS) in 2003 and in 2009 co-founded Shain & Oringer. Chris has a BA in Public Policy from the University of Buffalo.
Brian brings extensive magazine industry marketing and circulation experience to Subdirect. His career includes positions at the Synapse Group (a Time Inc.-owned marketing firm), Time4Media, Meredith and Mansueto Ventures. Brian currently oversees marketing and publisher relations for Subdirect, and plays an important role in overall business ventures. He has also served as President of The Fulfillment Management Association.
Mindy started her career in the magazine industry as a Data Management Specialist with Subdirect, where she developed a background in both the fulfillment and marketing sides of the business. In February 2015, she joined the Client Services team as a Marketing Associate. With her creative flair, she has implemented marketing strategies and launched multiple projects to expand upon the relationships of new and existing client. She approaches every project with attention to detail, creativity, and professionalism. In 2014, she co-coordinated the Hmong Women Today organization in Fresno, which soon expanded over the Central Valley, Northern California, and in Minnesota. Hmong Women Today grew into a community of over 1,000 women supporting and empowering one another.
Cheryl brings 20+ years of Data and Technology experience to the Subdirect team. Her knowledge of Enterprise Data Management and Data Governance across industries provides data analytics and insights for the company network and clients. With many successful technology program implementations across fortune 500 companies, she is always looking for opportunities to enable growth and success here at Subdirect.
Russell oversees design and strategic implementation of Subdirect’s selling relationships and growth initiatives. He is particularly focused on advancing best-in-class productivity, service and compliance through the development of support resources and reporting systems. Under his direction, Subdirect has formulated new and innovative customer acquisition plans. He has achieved consistency in both strong and weak business cycles, and is known for building enduring partnerships with a broad spectrum of business industry stakeholders. He has been named BMI’s Marketing Executive of the Year three times, and has serves on the Advisory Board for Think Big Partners.
Michael’s career includes significant publisher and agency-side experience. An early innovator in the fields of partnership and credit card continuous service, he created programs that have produced millions of subscriptions. Prior to joining Subdirect, Michael served as Circulation Director for Rolling Stone, Us Weekly and Men's Journal. He has been a member of ABC’s Magazine Director’s Advisory Committee, CDS’s Client Advisory Board and PCD’s Client Advisory Board.
Megs works with Subdirect publishing clients to develop new sources of business and readership. Over the past couple years, she has added new business development responsibilities to her plate, and launched marketing promotions with several key partners. She has grown revenue for both Subdirect and her clients, through successful strategy and execution of partnership offers and testing programs. Megs currently serves on the Board of Directors for the XYZ Club, a networking organization in the magazine publishing industry. Previously, she held positions at Synapse Group and their parent company, Time Inc.
Lindsay brings deep experience in financial leadership to Subdirect. She has been instrumental in the organization and optimization of the company’s financial processes, records, and communications. She strives to reduce costs associated with inefficiencies in order to boost productivity and profits. Prior to joining the Subdirect team, Lindsay served as an Assistant Controller at a former division of ORBIS, a global leader in supply chain packaging operations. Throughout her career, she has been applauded for her ability to simplify complex situations, and positively direct change management initiatives.
Shirley brings 20 years of experience in the magazine publishing industry to Subdirect. She has worked with leading publications, such as Hallmark Magazine, Essence Magazine and several Ziff Davis titles, including PC Magazine. She led consumer marketing efforts and played a major role in identifying and implementing strategic partnerships to establish new sources of revenue. Under Shirley’s leadership, companies have achieved increased profitability and subscriptions, along with expanded market share.
Kelly is the founder and CEO of Subdirect. Her expertise lies in idea generation, creative marketing solutions and strategic planning. Thanks to her leadership, Subdirect was recognized as one of the Inc. 5000 top companies of 2011 and 2012. In addition to her role at Subdirect, Kelly serves on the Board of the Craig School of Business at California State University, Fresno.
Bridget comes to Subdirect with a background in journalism and social media branding. She has helped organizations develop social media strategies and brand themselves online to help reach their target audience. Her passion for accuracy is most shown through her time chasing late night crime scenes and interviewing city officials while reporting crime stories for The Fresno Bee. She prides herself in remaining professional and detail oriented.
