With an accomplished background in both sales and media buying across multiple direct response channels in the digital marketing industry, Zack is a rare breed.
Mike has 28 years of magazine publishing experience, with a career spanning advertising sales, circulation marketing, direct marketing and media research. After his start in publishing at Family Media in the Media Planning and Research department, Mike held posts in the advertising division of Hearst Business Media and the circulation team at Cowles Magazine, then served as Publisher Relations Director for Publishers Clearing House. Most recently, Mike managed the Publisher Relations team at Waiting Room Subscription Service (WRSS), where he worked with a wide variety of publishers to develop customized public place marketing solutions, improving overall readership audiences through media research. When Subdirect acquired WRSS in February 2018, Mike joined the Subdirect team.
Harold has over 30 years in the publishing business. He has consulted or been in a senior magazine marketing position with some of the largest publishing companies in the industry including Newsweek, Condé Nast, American Media, ABC Publishing, CMP Media just to name a few. In 2003 he co-founded Consumer Marketing Solutions a leading provider of Verified Circulation to the magazine industry. Harold attended St. John’s University.
Josh brings over five years’ experience in fulfillment and process management. He was the Subdirect Fulfillment Manager for three years and most recently served in a business analyst role assisting in the development and structure of our continuous improvement initiatives. His background in business gives him an overall understanding of how to improve operations and his ability to motivate his team has been crucial in the continued growth of Subdirect. Josh has a BA in History from California State University, Fresno.
Leigh is a social media wizard focused on engaging, captivating, and harnessing digital relationships for both the B2B and B2C verticals here at Subdirect. Prior to joining Subdirect, Leigh was a graduate student at Sacred Heart University where she earned her master's degree in digital marketing. Leigh is committed to developing Subdirects digital audiences across the companies various divisions, and divisions.
Zak comes to Subdirect with a background in academic research where during college he used different statistical methods to study current events. After graduation he began taking courses in Computer Science in order to develop a better understanding of programming. This motivated him to pursue an analytical role where he could utilize his problem-solving skills and integrate different technologies into his workflow. Zak has a BA in Political Science from Monmouth University.
Alex joined the Subdirect team in October 2018 to help streamline cover wrap promotions for the WRSS business unit. He has held similar operations database positions at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, NYC Department of Information & Telecommunications, as well as the Federal Reserve Bank Information Technology - EROC. Alex holds a Masters in Electrochemical Engineering and Mathematics form Polytechnic University , Minsk, Belarus.
Kristina Gomez came on board in 2010 with a passion for team building, streamlining operations and enhancing performance initiatives across the company’s diverse business units. She is a hands-on manager who strives to set an example to those around her through effective communication and an open door policy. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from California State University, Fresno and has been instrumental in creating a one-of-a kind culture with values and benefits that make Subdirect a great place to work.
Before joining the team, Tim became a CPA at Baker, Peterson & Franklin while gaining experience in financial reporting, internal controls, tax law and all things accounting. After 8 years in public accounting he moved on to the private sector and directed the accounting departments for an Agriculture packaging supplier and a vertically integrated almond farmer/processor/marketer. He has served on committees for CalCPA and Community Food Bank. Tim graduated from Fresno State.
Karim has worked in the software testing industry for 6 years, and is experienced in manual as well as automation testing of web and client/server environments. He has worked for large institutions such as Citibank as a software test engineer. He also was involved in all stages of the software development life cycle for multiple projects/companies. He has a deep understanding of multiple development processes such as waterfall, iterative, and agile methodology.
In a world filled with mediocre designs, clunky user interfaces, and stuttered user flows, this man has dedicated his entire life to making the web a better place for all. Starting out as a freelance graphic / web designer at the age of 16, he’s put in countless work hours, late nights, and early mornings to make his dream of a better looking, more functional world a reality.
Chris started his career in publishing with Time Warner as Manager of Fulfillment and Warehousing for their book division for 4 years. Next, he joined Applied Interactive Media (AIM), as Director of Fulfillment Operations. Three years later he joined enews.com, the largest online marketer of magazines, as Senior Director of Fulfillment Operations. After 3 years working in the height of the .com boom, Chris co-founded Consumer Marketing Solutions (CMS) in 2003 which was acquired by Subdirect in 2015. Chris has a BA in Public Policy from the University of Buffalo.
Always adaptable, always organized, and never late, Kenzie is a Marketing graduate who is looking to put her skills to the test. No challenge is ever impossible, especially with the help of her creative mind, her excellent interpersonal skills and her natural ability to listen and absorb the information around her.
Brian brings extensive magazine industry marketing and circulation experience to Subdirect. His career includes positions at the Synapse Group (a Time Inc.-owned marketing firm), Time4Media, Meredith and Mansueto Ventures. Brian currently oversees marketing and publisher relations for Subdirect, and plays an important role in overall business ventures. He has also served as President of The Fulfillment Management Association.
Sean is the leader you want around when you need to perform at your best. A strategist who works best under pressure, he has a strong eye towards the big picture and an unflappable quality that guarantees success. Never one to take himself too seriously, doesn’t mind being the punchline of a good joke and prefers improv to stand up comedy.
Araceli joined the Subdirect team in 2011. She began her journey in the company as the assistant to the Chief Financial Officer and worked her way to Accounting Manager. She serves as the in house notary and just recently took on the exciting new role of Human Resources Director.
As Covalent’s Digital Media Manager, Matt is the master of using media to help businesses grow. He works diligently to best fit client and internal needs across all major verticals and media including social, CPA, coregistration, CPC and pragmatic. A long-time veteran of the space, Matt has an unmatched track record of problem-solving.
Kurt is an innovative Creative Director with many years of experience in the marketing, publishing, and advertising industry. By combining a variety of direction, design, concept, and web skills, Kurt is a seasoned creative hybrid – a combination of designer, web developer, and art director. He has consistently led creative projects, developed websites and partnered with digital and print production personnel. He loves to continually learn new software and what’s on trend to deliver cutting edge designs to clients.
Russell oversees design and strategic implementation of Subdirect’s selling relationships and growth initiatives. He is particularly focused on advancing best-in-class productivity, service and compliance through the development of support resources and reporting systems. Under his direction, Subdirect has formulated new and innovative customer acquisition plans. He has achieved consistency in both strong and weak business cycles, and is known for building enduring partnerships with a broad spectrum of business industry stakeholders. He has been named BMI’s Marketing Executive of the Year three times, and has serves on the Advisory Board for Think Big Partners.
Tom has a habit of using his lifelong passions for technology, engineering, and entrepreneurship to rocket companies of all sizes to the next level. From scaling startups to over 10x their traffic and revenue to helping brands like Ralph Lauren, Timberland, and Mattel launch new successful eCommerce marketplaces, Tom counts transforming enterprise technology stacks to cloud-based growth machines as a mission, and building and coaching the development teams that make it happen an adventure. After a 13-year career in stage magic, Tom also has a habit of breaking awkward silences with card tricks.
Ian joins Subdirect with a background in Magazine Publishing, Lead Generation and Sports Marketing. One of the best qualities of Ian, is that he has the uncanny ability to have meaningful conversations, which result in increased business opportunities. Ian excels at developing business partnerships, which become long-standing personal and professional relationships. When he is not at work, he can usually be found in his man-cave with his twin sons.
Megs works with Subdirect publishing clients to develop new sources of business and readership. Over the past couple years, she has added new business development responsibilities to her plate, and launched marketing promotions with several key partners. She has grown revenue for both Subdirect and her clients, through successful strategy and execution of partnership offers and testing programs. Megs currently serves on the Board of Directors for the XYZ Club, a networking organization in the magazine publishing industry. Previously, she held positions at Synapse Group and their parent company, Time Inc.
Susan has over 20 years of experience in the consumer marketing industry. Her career began at Times Mirror Magazines and has included senior marketing positions with Conde Nast, Maxim Magazine/Dennis Publishing and Wenner Media. Prior to her current role as Senior Online Marketing Manager, Susan managed the Read for the Cure fundraising program for Subco. In her past roles, Susan’s leadership has driven subscription growth, increased profitability and developed overall process improvements across multiple sources of business.
Shirley brings 20 years of experience in the magazine publishing industry to Subdirect. She has worked with leading publications, such as Hallmark Magazine, Essence Magazine and several Ziff Davis titles, including PC Magazine. She led consumer marketing efforts and played a major role in identifying and implementing strategic partnerships to establish new sources of revenue. Under Shirley’s leadership, companies have achieved increased profitability and subscriptions, along with expanded market share.
Dan comes to RewardBee with a background in account management, financial analysis, business development and all things marketing. He has spent the majority of his career with Destination Maternity and running his own consulting firm. When not working, Dan lives in the Philly area with his wife and daughter and donates his time to Big Brother Big Sisters of America, among other nonprofits.
Kelly is the founder and CEO of Subdirect. Her expertise lies in idea generation, creative marketing solutions and strategic planning. Thanks to her leadership, Subdirect was recognized as one of the Inc. 5000 top companies of 2011 and 2012. In addition to her role at Subdirect, Kelly serves on the Board of the Craig School of Business at California State University, Fresno.
After starting out in media planning and research at Ogilvy & Mather, Kellie jumped to the magazine publisher side, in a marketing services role, at The New Yorker, Elle and Vogue. In 2004, Kellie joined the marketing services team at DJG Marketing and eventually moved over to WRSS, where she developed distribution plans and provided in-depth analyses for clients (based on syndicated research and circulation data, etc.). After Subdirect acquired WRSS in February 2018, Kellie joined the team as a consultant, until June, when she was hired full time.
Numbers are everything to Clyde. From day-to-day finances to forensic accounting, he's like John Nash in 'A Beautiful Mind'… but for accounting. He's helped numerous companies, big and small, with their financial needs over the course of his career, and we're proud to have him on the team.
